As one of its primary safety features, SmartPedal contains a pass-through switch that under certain conditions can stop corrections and transmit the uncorrected pedal signal to the engine.
For example, when SmartPedal detects an error in outputs, it will first attempt to internally re-calibrate to fix the output error. If that process fails, SmartPedal can then engage the pass-through and begin recovery operations.
The entire process is designed to be seamless to drivers. When in pass-through mode, the vehicle operates the same as before, albeit with normal mileage.
