SmartPedal is improperly installed. Check that SmartPedal is properly connected to both the pedal and the OEM wiring harness.
If it is, then the next step is to remove SmartPedal using the procedure described in this guide. After removing SmartPedal, check to see if a terminal was bent on the male connector on SmartPedal during the installation process. If so, you can usually bend it back into position with a small screwdriver.
After removal (and fixing a bent pin if necessary) re-install SmartPedal. Pay extra care to ensure proper connections between SmartPedal, the pedal assembly, and the pedal wiring harness.
If SmartPedal is not operating after re-installation, then it's likely that your unit is malfunctioning. We test every SmartPedal at least twice before it goes out the door, but sometimes components can fail after testing.
