SmartPedal contains a built-in LED light that can flash green, orange and red to indicate device health, default driving mode and calibration state. What you see depends on whether SmartPedal is calibrated or not.
Uncalibrated SmartPedal
When you first turn on your vehicle ignition, SmartPedal performs a power-up internal diagnostic, tests all three colors of the LED, and then checks the driving mode. These functions show as the following lights:
- ORANGE GREEN - PAUSE - ORANGE GREEN RED. ( This is the internal test and LED color test. )
- Between 1 and 6 ORANGE flashes. ( This corresponds to the driving mode. )
- Alternating RED/GREEN continuous flashes signifying that SmartPedal awaits calibration.
Steps 1 & 2 are completed in a total of less than two (2) seconds, so the process is very quickly. Step 3 continues until SmartPedal is calibrated, either manually or through use of the vehicle.
Calibrated SmartPedal
Same as above, except that in step 3 SmartPedal displays the two GREEN flashes on a cyclical basis (signifying its heartbeat) instead of the alternating RED/GREEN flashes.
